we are... an e-mail listserv. a website. a plethora of ideas. a supernova. a place to get constructive criticism. a home for work that you shot for you, not them. a constant source of inspiration. a photo community. dedicated to the advancement of photojournalism. 
how it began... e-mailing a photo each day between two friends. then we got more friends involved. then the circle got bigger as they told their friends and their friends' friends. now, word-of-mouth has carried us to over 1300 members in over 40 states and around the world.
join us... want to be a part of the aphotoaday family? if you're a photo student or a working photojournalist who is passionate about documentary photography, and you're striving for a certain standard of quality in your work, uphold a strict code of ethics and are looking for a place to thrive while pursuing your own personal vision... then start here...
in the box that says answer a question, please give me your full name, where you work or go to school, and how you found out about apad, and and a sentence or two about your dedication to photojournalism. after that, you will begin receving between 70-80 emails a day, some with photos attached, others with heartfelt discussion or constructive criticisms included within. please make sure you have an email box that can handle a large volume of emails (HOTMAIL members take note: your inbox limit is 2 MB. unless you're checking your mail several times a day, the listserv will fill up your inbox almost immediately. i'd check into settingup a gmail email account (for free) and solely for the list, if you need some extra space.) we have some people that send photos everday. we have others that have never said a word on the listserv. the level of participation is up to you. so, come inspire us, challenge us, or just sit back and learn from us... either way, we'd like to have you join us.
